After a long drive down a bumpy road in bleary weather, we reached the Fossil Butte National Monument Visitor Center. We went in and went up to the front desk. A really nice ranger gave us our Junior Ranger books. We looked around the museum for the answers to all the questions, then went outside in the drippy rain to get some answers. We went back inside and talked to the Ranger for a little while, she checked our books and gave us our badges. We learned a bunch about fossils. Fossils can tell you what life was like millions of years ago and it was interesting to hear their stories.
